L-Tryptophan

 

 As the balance of amino acids improves with L-Lysine, DL-Methionine, and L-Threonine, Tryptophan generally becomes the next limiting amino acid. Because corn is low in tryptophan, corn-soy diets can include added synthetic tryptophan. Serortonin, a neuro-mediator in the brain, is also derived from Tryptophan. Due to this relationship tryptophan has been fed at higher levels to calm animals in stress conditions. Ajinomoto Heartland’s feed grade amino acid line which includes L-Tryptophan, a 98 % Minimum Purity (Feed Grade)
