When you work in feed or food ingredient sourcing and logistics, you inevitably have stories to tell. We’ve seen and done a lot here at Bill Barr in the 60+ years we’ve been in service. We’ve asked Edna Peuser, office manager and head problem-solver here at Bill Barr & Co., to share some ways we’ve gone above, beyond and back again getting clients what they need, when they need it. Take it away, Edna!
“At Bill Barr, we’ve proven that we’ll do anything for a customer,” Edna says. “If a customer has a problem, we will solve it. Bottom line.”
Edna remembers one particular time when a customer was regularly running out of product on the weekends. “We’d schedule last-minute deliveries from suppliers to get them what they’d need to keep running until Monday. But that wasn’t the extent of our efforts,” she says. “The client’s warehouse wasn’t open on weekends for whatever reason, so rather than ask them to rearrange schedules for their staff on short notice, I would actually drive to the warehouse and open it up for weekend deliveries!”
That level of service eventually became more of an expectation, but it’s an expectation that we at Bill Barr & Co. embrace. Our job is to make your job easier.
