The pet food industry is continuing to see new products emerge that meet the changing demands of pet owners. With many people considering cats and dogs as furry family members, some consumers are looking for premium products that meet their own preferences for ingredient types and food preparation techniques. While traditional kibble or canned food is still a popular choice, it’s no longer the only feeding option for dogs and cats, and some pet owners are considering other production methods to meet their pets’ nutritional needs.

SUPERZOO 2025 Trends

When our account manager Celeste Sparks attended SUPERZOO this year, she noticed some common themes among the exhibitors. Similar to the trends at the 2024 Global Pet Expo that we discussed last year, air-dried and freeze-dried preparations were popular products at SUPERZOO. Cold-pressed pet food was also featured at the show, targeting the pet owners looking for processing methods other than traditional extrusion. Functional treats were another popular exhibit at SUPERZOO, catering for the pet parents who want to provide some added health benefits to their pets’ treats.
